Questions
›Where does actionlint run?
On the server, as the official actionlint binary. A browser-side check could be skipped, so the free-run limit would not mean anything.
›What does an exit code of 1 mean?
actionlint found problems. That is a normal result and uses the free run. A crash (the linter itself failing) is refunded.
›Can I describe a workflow instead of pasting YAML?
Yes. Switch to Generate and write what the job should do. The result is passed through actionlint before it is shown.
›Are shellcheck and pyflakes included?
No. Those external linters are disabled so the container does not need them. actionlint's own workflow checks still run.
