ContainerCreating
The pod is stuck while the runtime sets the container up.
Volume mounts, especially NFS or a CSI driver, are the usual delay. A few seconds is normal. Many minutes means an event is waiting on storage or the network.
Commands to start with
- kubectl describe pod POD
- kubectl get pv,pvc -n NAMESPACE

Questions
›How long is too long?
More than a minute or two, with a FailedMount or FailedAttachVolume event, is a storage problem rather than a slow pull.
›Should I delete the pod?
Read the event first. Deleting it repeats the same mount against the same volume.
